Wednesday 30 December 2020 We are pleased to share news of further easing of COVID-19 restrictions in libraries during January, and draw attention to changes related to the issuing of overdue fines.
The following changes will come into effect from Saturday 2 January 2021:
Borrowing periods and overdue fines
Please note that from Saturday 2 January, normal borrowing periods for collection items will apply. From Monday 18 January, overdue fines will be reinstated. Please be sure to return overdue items before this date to avoid a fine! Overdue fines have not been charged or accumulated since 18 March 2020. Please speak with a staff member at your library if you need further information about fines, or to discuss your situation.
For further information about our library services at this time, including an overview of capacity limits in each branch and mobile library, please visit our Coronavirus information page.
The health and safety of staff and the broader community continues to be our priority, and we thank you for your cooperation and understanding as we navigate this period.
