The Bannockburn Library opened on Saturday 5 May, 2012 by Mr Les Rowe, President of the Bannockburn Primary School Council and Cr Geraldine Frantz, Mayor, Golden Plains Shire Council. This purpose built, modern library is Golden Plains Shire’s first permanent library, replacing the mobile library service that previously visited the town and providing valuable community space and library services to the area. Located in High Street, opposite the School, the library functions as the school library as well as providing the full range of public library services and collections to the general community.
