KATE DOWNEY - THE LUCY STAR TRILOGY

Kate Downey wrote her Lucy Star Trilogy - Lucy Star @7, Lucy Star @13 and Lucy Star @18 - in the Chilwell Library. Kate wanted to write about what transgender people experience psychologically and physically. Learning, listening and understanding gender dysphoria is vital in order for trans people to live in a world where they feel safe to be who they really are.
