Chilwell Library was officially opened on 16 July 1958 by Cr Henry Jacobs, JP, Mayor. It was refurbished in 1993 and the refurbishment works were officially opened by Commissioner Hon. Glyn Jenkins JP and Mrs Alice James on 9 August 1993. It is a small, intimate and community-focussed library. We are situated between Sladen Park and the Maternal Health Centre very close to the vibrant Pakington street precinct.
