Festive Season Closures

Tuesday 2 December, 2025

Library closures
All libraries, including our mobile libraries, will close at 5pm on 24 December.
Most library locations will reopen on Friday 2 January.
Lara Library will reopen on Monday 5 January and Barwon Heads Libraries will reopen on Tuesday 6 January.

All returns chutes will be closed during this period, so please hold onto your library items — there are no fines.

Geelong Heritage Centre closure
Kim barne thaliyu / Geelong Heritage Centre will close at 4pm on 24 December.
Limited online-only support will be available from 13 January, with full services and Research Room access resuming on 27 January.

During the closure
Remember to stock up before the break. You can still explore our eCollections anytime via our catalogue - available to members 24/7. Not a member yet? Use the festive downtime to sign up.
