The Warm Winter Read returns: Cosy up and win big this winter

Wednesday 28 May 2025

The Warm Winter Read is back from 1 June to 31 August 2025, inviting readers to slow down, enjoy a good book, and go in the running for bookish prizes.

Hosted by Public Libraries Victoria across libraries throughout Victoria (and Tasmania), this reading challenge is open to anyone aged 16+ and is completely free.

Listen to an audiobook. Flip through a graphic novel. Browse a magazine. Curl up with a paperback. It's all reading. And all reading does you good.

How to get started

  1. Sign up at readbooks.com.au/wwr
  2. Log your reading online (or use a paper tracker from your local library)
  3. Complete bonus reading challenges to keep things fun
  4. Go into the draw for prizes at different reading milestones
