Upcoming public holiday closures

Wednesday 1 November

Please be advised that some of our libraries will be closed on the following dates, due to public holidays. Our libraries observe public holidays according to the municipality they are located in.

Tuesday 7 November: Melbourne Cup Day

  • Apollo Bay, Bannockburn, Colac, Queenscliff and Torquay libraries will be closed
  • The Bellarine Surf Coast Mobile (Aireys Inlet and Lorne) will not operate**

Libraries that are open on Melbourne Cup Day:

  • The Bellarine Surf Coast Mobile (Anakie) will operate as normal**
  • All city of Greater Geelong libraries will be open and normal opening hours will apply (please refer to the image below for a list of Greater Geelong libraries)

 

Wednesday 25 October: Geelong Cup Day

  • All city of Greater Geelong libraries are closed


     
  • Geelong Regional Libraries' administrative headquarters is closed
  • Bellarine Surf Coast Mobile Library (Portalington) will not operate**

Libraries that are open on Geelong Cup Day:

  • The Golden Plains and Colac Otway Mobile Libraries will operate as normal**
  • Bannockburn, Colac, Apollo Bay, Torquay and Queenscliff Libraries will be open and normal opening hours will apply
