The Geelong West Rotary Club’s first Monster Book Fair for 2019 will be held at Geelong West Town Hall on Friday 15, Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 March.
As in past years, there will be literally thousands of books on sale, covering a variety of genres, and all proceeds raised will be directed towards charity causes. As well as a huge range of best sellers and soughtafter authors, but you might just discover that hard-to-find title you have been looking for!
With prices set at a bargain $1 for paperbacks and $2 for hardcovers, there is no better time to stock up on some great reads, says Club President Stephen Yewdall.
"Our Book Fair is a great way to stock up on your winter reading at great prices, and it has the added benefit of making a positive change in the lives of those in our community who might need our support, and that is a great thing," Mr Yewdall says.
Proceeds from the Monster Book Fair will support a variety of community projects, both locally in the Geelong region, and further afield. Over the years, the Fair has raised tens of thousands of dollars that have been channelled back through the Club’s supported projects such as Barwon Health Patient Transport, Samaritan House, Operation Newstart, Christ Church Meals Program, Geelong Kokoda Youth Program and Interplast, as well as many smaller charitable programs that apply to the Club for grants each year.
Books on sale at the Fair are donated by hundreds of people from across the region.
Geelong Regional Libraries is a proud supporter of the Fair, and has been a major contributor for many years.
