Places and Spaces Survey: Have Your Say

The City of Greater Geelong invites you to have your say on our community places and spaces, to help guide decision making and investment in council-owned social infrastructure.

Our community spaces – such as neighbourhood houses, halls, leisure facilities, senior citizens centres, youth spaces, kindergartens, long day care, maternal and child health, libraries and sports pavilions – provide people with opportunities to participate and be involved in community life while helping them connect to the place where they live.

With continuing population growth and the current state of some of the council’s existing assets, the challenge is in meeting future needs through clever, creative options and best use of resources.

The City invites you to provide feedback to help identify which community places, spaces and services you use and which ones you can’t access easily at the moment and why.  The City also seeks feedback to understand what is important to people in making fair and informed decisions on future investment.

You can participate in the survey and learn more at www.geelongaustralia.com.au/yoursay or pick up a survey form at your local library branch. The survey is open now and will close mid-November and those who complete a survey will go into the draw to win some great prizes including a $400 shopping voucher.
