Pick up a book for Australian Reading Hour

Geelong Regional Libraries supports Australian Reading Hour on Thursday 20 September, a day which encourages everyone to take the time to relax and pick up a book for one hour.

Reading reduces stress by 68%, relieving stress more quickly than listening to music, going for a walk or having a cup of tea. (N. Evans, Reading is Good For You: Literature Review, Australian Publishers Association, April 2017)

So head to your local library, pick up a book and treat yourself to a one hour read on your own, or with your children.

It will be an hour of your time well spent.
