In line with recent Victorian Government advice, we are pleased to announce that Geelong Regional Libraries’ branches and mobile libraries are now open. The health and safety of our community and staff remains our priority. Hygiene protocols and social distancing will continue, while compulsory face masks and density limits have been reintroduced. We ask everyone to please stay home if feeling unwell. This means there may be some time limits on library visits to allow as many community members as possible to access our services. We thank you for your patience and cooperation! In order to comply with Victorian Government requirements, we ask everyone visiting our libraries and mobile libraries:
• To wear a face covering (unless there is a legal exemption). This applies to everyone 12 years and older. • To complete a QR code check-in upon entry. Return chutes at all library branches remain open 24/7.
Density limits mean that, unfortunately, some of our in-person events will be cancelled, postponed or transferred online next week; you will be contacted if you have booked into a session that is impacted.
The following advice applies to events scheduled for the week commencing Monday 2 August:
We will continue to provide updates as we receive further news from the Government about easing of restrictions.
We thank you for your continued understanding, patience and support as we re-open libraries and resume services.
Full details about our service at this time, including a list of frequently asked questions and answers, can be found here.
