Belmont Library upgrade – temporary closure

Please be advised that Belmont Library will be closed for refurbishments from 5pm Saturday 22 May and will re-open to the public on Monday 7 June.

During this period, the Library will be undergoing an exciting upgrade to improve the interior spaces of the building. You can look forward to a brighter and more modern space, with a larger children’s area, additional study or ‘Bring Your Own Device’ areas, comfortable seating, an improved floor plan and a refreshed collection.

Whilst the branch is closed, reserved collection items for Belmont Library members will be redirected to Waurn Ponds Library. Any reserved items that are uncollected at the time of the closure, or which are made during the closure period, will be relocated to Waurn Ponds Library and may be collected from there.

As the returns chute at Belmont Library will also be closed during refurbishments, we ask you to return collection items to any other branch in the network. Books due for return to Belmont during this period will be automatically renewed.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused by the temporary closure of the Belmont Library, and look forward to welcoming you back into the refreshed space on Monday 7 June.
