Our second Wine and Crime online event will see two very different female crime writers come together to discuss their divergent paths within the broader crime genre.
Australian rural crime and outback mystery author Kerry McGinnis, author of The Waddi Tree, Wildhorse Creek, Mallee Sky, Tracking North, Out of Alice, Secrets of the Springs, The Heartwood Hotel and The Roadhouse will join us from Bundaberg to discuss her latest release, Croc Country. Kerry will be joined by Melbourne journalist and debut crime author Katherine Firkin, author of the newly releasedSticks and Stones, which draws on the inherent drama of the courtroom and criminal trials.
The panel discussion will be led by founding member, convenor and current President of Sisters in Crime and well known crime and true crime author, Lindy Cameron.

In August and September 2019, documentary photographer Ali MC spent four weeks capturing the diversity of Iran through black and white 35mm film. The result is Analog Iran, an online exhibition which explores the diversity of a country that is often stereotyped in the media. From the border of Afghanistan to the bustling metropolis of Tehran, these photographs bring to life the everyday lives of Iranian people. Ali’s work shows the tension between the hospitality and graciousness of the Iranian people, and the constant political and economic pressures of daily life.
Join us for this wonderful presentation of his stunning photographs, and tales of his travels through this amazing part of the world.
