*IN-PERSON* Writers' Workshop: Mark Smith - Writing Short Fiction

This half-day workshop focussing on writing short fiction will cover topics such as story structure, the critical beginning of your story, building characters, the importance of setting and narrative drive and pacing.

Ideal for beginning to intermediate writers, please note this workshop will be hands-on and participants are requested to come prepared to write – preferably with a story you are already working on – or come prepared to begin a new one!

Workshop presenter, author Mark Smith, lives on Victoria’s Surf Coast. His debut novel, The Road To Winter (Text, 2016) was shortlisted for the Australian Indie Book Awards, the Readings YA Prize, The Forward Indie Awards (US) and the Queensland Literary Awards.  


Please note, there is a $10.00pp registration fee for this event.
