NBN Awareness Initiative

These special sessions are being presented by the nbn™ Local Community Affairs team help you understand and answer questions about the nbn™ network.
Each session will cover:

  • What is NBN™ & How to get connected
  • How the NBN™ will affect your existing Home Phone
  • Medical alarms & Power outages 
  • Information about scams, amongst other things

The purpose of this initiative is to ensure communities have all the necessary information during the rollout of the NBN™ access network. It aims to give the community a forum to ask questions and troubleshoot any concerns they might have.

Bring in your repairs and share your visible mending progress with others. This session also provides an opportunity to learn some new techniques and look at some more helpful resources. Or if you're new to visible mending, learn about making a feature of clothing repair. Suitable for ages 12+ to adults.

Come along to this hands-on workshop for an introduction into the art of Japanese Calligraphy (Shodo). This session is presented by Japanese expatriate Kazuko Horii-Watson (Reisen Horii), who studied for over forty years under the great calligrapher Master Tetsusen Horino. Participants should wear clothing suitable for painting. Ages 18+
