Caroline Jane Knight – High Tea with Great Aunt Jane Austen

Caroline Jane Knight shares more than Jane Austen’s name and DNA. Caroline is the last Austen descendent to grow up in Chawton on the ancestral estate where Jane herself lived and wrote. Join Caroline for a very special High Tea as she shares her unique childhood growing up surrounded by four hundred years of family history in the heart of great aunt Jane’s literary legacy, private family photographs and how Jane Austen’s extraordinary popularity has changed the lives of her Chawton family today. Funds raised will be donated to the Jane Austen Literacy Foundation. Tickets $50, includes high tea and a glass of sparkling wine on arrival.

Presented by Geelong Gallery and Geelong Regional Library Corporation

A film about controversial artist and Archibald Prize Winner Keith Looby, followed by a Q&A with the film's producers Merilyn Alt and Sean Murphy.

In celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Archibald Prize, and the Archie 100 exhibition at Geelong Gallery, join us for a free screening of Looby, a documentary on controversial painter and winner of the 1984 Archibald Prize, Keith Looby. 

The screening will be followed by a Q&A with the film’s producers Merilyn Alt and Sean Murphy.
