The Warm Winter Read is back from 1 June to 31 August 2025, inviting readers to slow down, enjoy a good book, and go in the running for bookish prizes.
Hosted by Public Libraries Victoria across libraries throughout Victoria (and Tasmania), this reading challenge is open to anyone aged 16+ and is completely free.
Listen to an audiobook. Flip through a graphic novel. Browse a magazine. Curl up with a paperback. It's all reading. And all reading does you good.
How to get started
Prizes, ambassadors & sponsors Get involved for the chance to win great prizes—just by reading and logging your progress.
Need ideas? Check out recommendations from the author ambassadors including Christian White, Rachael Johns and Ann Liang, who have shared their top picks to help you get started.
The campaign is proudly supported by Libby, uLibrary and Wilkinson Publishing. So whether you’re borrowing books in person or listening to audiobooks on the go, there’s a way to get reading—and get rewarded.
