The challenge is on! Read more and read widely this Autumn by getting involved with the Autumn Book Binge, a state-wide initiative led by Public Libraries Victoria and the State Library Victoria.
We know that reading has many positive benefits on a person’s health, wellbeing and personal development. We also know that it can sometimes be difficult to find the time to read as much as we would like to. If you could use just a little bit of motivation, then let the Autumn Book Binge provide the nudge you need to make more time for books in your life. To participate in the program, simply pick up a game card from any Geelong Regional Libraries branch or Mobile Library between 1 March and 31 May. Read or listen to books of your choice from any of the nine book categories (see below), complete your game card and drop it into your local library branch by the end of each month to go into the draw to win a Readings book voucher! Be sure to join in the conversation on social media to share your book reviews and recommendations using the hashtag #AutumnBookBinge. Visit your local library branch from 1 March to pick up a game card and to see suggestions for books to read in each of the following nine categories: • Set in Victoria • Recent releases • Other lives • In translation • Fact to fiction • Book to screen • Beastly titles • Other worlds • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander writers
Happy reading!
