Story Island - An Adventure in Pictures


Come on a journey of imagination where you can touch the skin of a dragon, tickle a wombat’s furry tummy, discover secret trapdoors, and hide away in a reading pod.

Story Island brings together works from some of Australia’s favourite authors and illustrators in a delightful touring exhibition for children.

Picture books come alive, combining words, illustrations and play to let you share the magic of storytelling together.

Story Island: an adventure in pictures is a State Library Victoria travelling exhibition displaying items from the Scholastic Dromkeen Children's Literature Collection.

For children aged 0–8 years. Open during library hours.

Based on her letters of the period and the novel itself, this beautifully costumed entertainment allows you to enter the world of Jane Austen.
