Join Gary Montgomery, President of the Geelong Beekeepers Club, and organic gardener Helen De Lange to gain an insight into the intriguing science of beekeeping and why honey bees are of such critical importance. You will take a quick tour of the structure and working of a bee-hive and learn which plants and flowers to plant to create a bee-friendly garden.

Weaving Workshop - One Million Stars to End Violence Project

One Million Stars to End Violence is a community art installation project that aims to create one million woven stars for display as a giant installation at the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games. This project seeks to raise awareness about violence in the community and the woven stars are symbols of hope, light and courage. Join us for weaving workshops to create stars to be collected and added to the installation in 2018.
