The Bannockburn Library opened on Saturday 5 May, 2012 by Mr Les Rowe, President of the Bannockburn Primary School Council and Cr Geraldine Frantz, Mayor, Golden Plains Shire Council. This purpose built, modern library is Golden Plains Shire’s first permanent library, replacing the mobile library service that previously visited the town and providing valuable community space and library services to the area. Located in High Street, opposite the School, the library functions as the school library as well as providing the full range of public library services and collections to the general community.
Baby Time: Every Thursday 11.30am, except during January.
Toddler Time: Every Thursday 10.30am, during school terms.
Preschool Story Time: Every Tuesday 10.30am, during school terms.

You will take a quick tour of the structure and working of a bee-hive and learn which plants and flowers to plant to create a bee-friendly garden.

This session provides an opportunity for local amateur authors and poets to create a born-digital book and have it uploaded onto the library's Overdrive platform for inclusion in a local authors eBook collection. Bring your MS Word document of 10,000 words or less to learn how to create headings, tables of contents and a navigation structure for your eBook.

One Million Stars to End Violence is a community art installation project that aims to create one million woven stars for display as a giant installation at the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games. This project seeks to raise awareness about violence in the community and the woven stars are symbols of hope, light and courage. Join us for weaving workshops to create stars to be collected and added to the installation in 2018.
