Yes, anyone can download and use the app, however only Geelong Regional Libraries’ members will be able to use functions such as borrowing or reserving items, booking into events, etc. If you would like to join the library and have access to these services you can sign up now at this link.
The library app has a range of features and functions:
SEARCH THE CATALOGUE Tap inside the search bar to begin typing, then tap the search button and enter your search term (e.g. title, author, etc.). Use the ‘Search by’ and Filter by’ options to narrow you research results. When you see what you are looking for tap the item to find a copy or, if available, tap the ‘Place a hold’ button to place yourself on the hold list.
Did you see an interesting book at the book store or your friend’s house? Click the ‘Scan an ISBN’ button on the main menu to search for it via the barcode.
EVENTS AND PROGRAMS Find programs, author visits, Story Time, and a variety of other library events and programs. Sort by hour or branch, or dive deeper and filter by location, age group, and event types by clicking the ‘Filter’ button in the bottom right.
MY LOANS Login with your library card and manage your loans with the app.
LOCATIONS Get directions and see opening hours of our library branches.
eBOOKS & eCOLLECTIONS The app provides quick access to eAudiobooks and eBooks, eMagazines, streaming movies and TV, music and online resources, including resources for kids.
MY ACCOUNT & LIBRARY CARD Keep track of your checked out items, renew material, review your fines and fees, and manage your holds. You can use your eCard instead of your physical library card at most of our branches. Just login to save it in this section.
