Upcoming price changes & new membership requirement

Monday 16 June, 2025

For the first time since 2021, we’re adjusting ticket prices for our author events and workshops to ensure we can continue bringing you high-quality programming.

From 1 July, 2025, the new prices will be:

  • Author events: $20 general / $10 concession
  • Workshops: $40 general / $20 concession

Additionally, from July, you must be a library member to book tickets. If you are not a member, joining online is free, quick and easy.

Most of our programs remain free, and all major author events are recorded and available to watch later on YouTube.

Our workshops, which experienced writers and industry professionals lead, are offered at a fraction of the usual cost—similar workshops often charge hundreds of dollars.

We believe access to arts and culture should be available to everyone. If financial pressures make it difficult for you to attend, please reach out—we’re happy to discuss options to make sure our events remain accessible to all.

View our upcoming schedule and secure your spot via our website.
