Highton Library upgrade: temporary closure

Patrons are advised that Highton Library will be closed for refurbishments from Monday 25 November and will re-open to the public on Monday 23 December.

During this period, the branch will be undergoing an exciting upgrade to improve the interior of the building. Customers can look forward to a brighter and more modern space, with additional comfortable seating, an improved floor plan and a refreshed collection.

Whilst the branch is closed, reserved collection items for Highton customers will be redirected to the Belmont Library. Any reserved items that are uncollected at the time of the closure, or reservations which are made during the closure period, will be relocated to Belmont Library and may be collected from there.

As the returns chute at Highton Library will also be closed during refurbishments, patrons are asked to return collection items to any other branch in the network. Books due for return to Highton during this period will be automatically renewed.

The closest alternative branches to Highton Library are:

Belmont Library (163 High Street, Belmont)
Chilwell Library (51 Russell Street, Newtown)
Waurn Ponds Library (230 Pioneer Road, Grovedale)

We apologise for any inconvenience caused by the temporary closure of the Highton Library, and look forward to welcoming customers back into the refreshed space on Monday 23 December.
