Jamila Rizvi - Not Just Lucky

Jamila Rizvi has firmly established herself as the preeminent voice of young Australian women online. She is a columnist for News Limited, a presenter for Fox FM and a regular television commentator for shows including The Project and The Drum. She is also the former Editor-in-Chief of the Mamamia Women’s Network websites.  Jamila will discuss her new book, Not Just Lucky  and talk about the need for women to ditch the doubt and fight for success and use courage to lift other women up and fight for equality in the workplace for all. She offers a toolkit for women to thrive in the workplace.

The traditional Japanese origami paper crane is a world-wide recognizable symbol of peace. Come along to a workshop and join in this project of gifting peace, healing and harmony in the world by creating paper peace cranes. The Peace Cranes created will be collected and displayed in exhibits around Geelong in time for International Day of Peace on 21st September 2017.
