Councillor Cameron Granger (Deputy Mayor of CoGG) officially opened Lara Library on 31 March 2012, providing permanent, onsite library resources to the township previously serviced by our visiting Mobile Library.The Lara Library is conveniently located in a central community hub shared with Maternal Child Centre, Lara Kindergarten and Lara Community Centre. It adjoins Austin Park, which includes a skate park, children’s playground, toilets, amphitheatre and picnic/BBQ area. Access is easy thanks to ample parking on Walkers Road and proximity to the Lara Railway Station.
