Our new Geelong Library & Heritage Centre is a focal point for researchers and those seeking to unlock the secrets of the past.  The Vault Kim barne thaliyu on level 3 is a dedicated space housing specialist resources for the local history of Geelong and surrounds, private records, newspapers, maps, plans, photographs, and extensive catalogues and indexes.

The experienced team in the Heritage Reading Room can assist you in searching the unique collection of records, images and objects.  You can find out about your home or property, explore your family history, browse historical images, request professional research assistance and much more.

The library levels of the Geelong Library & Heritage Centre and our 18 community libraries across the Geelong region also have many and varied collections accessible for research online and in person. Our specialist team is on hand to guide and advise you on pinpointing materials or on broadening or narrowing your search.
