Looking for an item that Geelong Regional Libraries doesn't have? We can borrow items from other libraries for you!
For items published or released more than 3 years ago, you can submit a request for an interlibrary loan using the interlibrary loan form. Our staff will search for the item at other public libraries in Victoria before searching in other states and academic institutions*.
If the item that you would like to borrow is less than 3 years old, please submit a purchase suggestion form. The Collections Team will review your suggestion in accordance with our Collection Development Policy. If the item is not purchased a note will be left on your library account to inform you that it was not available.
Please note that while we welcome requests for new magazine titles, additions to the library’s magazine collection are only reviewed on an annual basis.
A separate form is required for each title you wish to suggest. Submissions containing multiple titles may not be processed.
Due to Covid-19 there may be significant delays in obtaining new items and Interlibrary Loans.
Please note that fees from $2.50 apply for interlibrary loan.
Interlibrary loans are not available until 1st of July 2022 to allow for software updates and system upgrades.
We apologise for this inconvenience and look forward to providing your items once the service is up and running.
