Children’s picture book launch by local author Dawn Marlow. Enjoy the beautiful Queenscliff photos and dialogue in this delightful book, designed to encourage conversation between children and adults through the eyes and voice of Red, Red was rescued by Dawn from GAWS, Geelong Animal Welfare, 8 years ago. He has a cheeky, regal way that attracts children and adults on their walks.

Writing Cadets

Do you feel the urge to use interesting words in interesting ways? Join our writing group at the Dome. Keep a journal, contribute to a group blog, try out different writing techniques and share your writing with the group. Bring your own device or use the library facilities. At the end of the year we will produce a small book of writing by the members of the group.
No booking required. Ages 8+

Sensory Story Time

This sensory-rich story time is for all children, and especially children with sensory processing disorders. These sessions accommodate delayed motor skill development and include opportunities for children to interact, with less sitting and more action. Audio stimulation is limited and group size is small.
