Do you know the basics of crochet? Now it is time to test your skills on a small project and learn to crochet a flower. A number of simple and more complex patterns will be provided and we encourage you to bring your own hook and yarn. All ages welcome, bookings are essential.

Have you always wanted to learn how to sew on a sewing machine? Take a beginner’s class with qualified dressmaker and pattern maker Robyn Blackett. She will teach you to use the sewing machine and overlocker, which are available for public use, at the Corio Library. Attendees will produce a small item from start to finish during their two –hour class, which they will take home. Come and explore your creative side with our sewing makerspace.
Bee populations are under threat all over the world from disease, overuse of insecticides and loss of habitat. Learn how you can stop the tide of extinction starting in your own backyard. Tony McNamara, from Surfcoast Honey, will deliver a talk on all things bees, why we need them and why they need us.
Tea is much more than just a beverage. Since it was first consumed in the south-west of China 5000 years ago, tea has spread throughout the world to become, after water, the most consumed beverage in the world. Dr Tracey Caulfield who has trained at the Dilmah School of Tea in Sri Lanka and in Japan will share her passion and expertise.
Learn how to create a photobook using images from your tablet, phone or computer. This workshop will introduce different ways to get you started. Please note that this is not a printing session. Photobooks ordered will incur a printing fee.
