We are committed to providing excellent library services to all members of our community. Our community library service provides assistance to people who are unable to leave their home or aged care facility due to health or other concerns.
We are committed to making our library buildings, collections and services accessible to all who need them. This includes people who have a temporary or permanent disability, their service providers and carers. All staff can assist people with special needs to access the physical and online collections. A range of technologies and equipment is provided to assist those with a disability to use the libraries and their resources more easily. For more information please ask a staff member.
We make this service available for library members who are housebound in order to enable them to access our print and audio visual collections.
If you are a Community library service member, you will receive a regular monthly delivery that can include fiction and non-fiction books, large print books, talking books, DVDs, CDs and magazines. You have several options to choose from:

A self-select service is available for library members who can visit our libraries but have difficulty carrying their library materials home. Members can visit our libraries, select their own materials, check them out and deposit them with a library team member for delivery to their home by a library volunteer.
We provide bulk loans of library materials to residential living facilities and can customise these collections to match the needs of the facility. We are able to update the loans on a regular basis so there is always a fresh book or DVD available.
