Audio Books (Adult, Young Adult and Junior) are held in CD and Playaway format and include fiction and some non fiction titles. Items in the following fiction categories are labeled accordingly:

Geelong Regional Library has now introduced book club kits to support book clubs in the region. Book clubs can nominate a coordinator to apply for a special book club library membership card. Using this card the coordinator can choose a set of books for the club (12 books in total) and borrow them for 6 weeks. There is no charge to become a member and you can chose from over 75 different book titles. More information on book club kits can be found here: Book Club Kits

The collection targets children aged 5-12 years and encompasses current and classic fiction for the developing, reluctant and advanced reader with special emphasis on Australian titles. Simple fiction for children aged 5-8 years is labelled E (Eager Readers)

Adult and Junior resources cover a range of materials and subject areas at a general level of interest. They are shelved in one sequence by the Dewey Decimal Classification (call) number, which appears on a label at the bottom of the spine or on the bottom left hand corner of the front cover.

Junior materials have yellow call number labels.

Resources include books, Reference materials for use within the branch, CD ROMs, documentary style DVDs which support informational needs and Language Learning Kits

The collection targets babies and pre school age children, primary school aged children and parents. Picture books may be simple or sophisticated in content. The collection includes very elementary non-fiction titles

The collection targets young adults aged 12-15 years. Its coverage is predominantly current titles from new, standard and popular authors, with an emphasis on works particularly relevant to Australian teenagers. Fiction appropriate for young adults over 15 years may be shelved in the Adult Fiction collection
